The Watauga Pioneers routed the visiting Johnson County Longhorns basketball team by a final score of 77-54 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Pioneers face the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, December 29. Watauga will attempt to move on its 7-2 season record. The Black Knights enter the game with a 8-3 record after their 67-63 non-league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).
The Longhorns (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Pride come into the non-league battle with a 4-4 record. In their last battle, Pine Lake Prep was routed by Apex Friendship (Apex, NC), 71-60, in a non-league battle.
