The Bulldogs enter the game with a 9-9 record after their 56-45 non-league loss to Rock Hill (Frisco, TX).

With the defeat, Katy moves to 12-8 on the year. The Tigers travel to Seven Lakes (Katy, TX) to encounter the Spartans in a 6A Region III District 19 test on Tuesday, January 2. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 22-2. Seven Lakes won 62-47 in their recent non-league test against Mesa (Mesa, AZ)
