Lumberton Raiders (Lumberton, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Oak Ridge War Eagles (Conroe, TX), 51-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lumberton upgrades its record to 6-13 on the season. The Raiders host West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-6. West Orange-Stark won 67-55 in their recent league bout against Vidor (Vidor, TX)

Next up, the War Eagles play the Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Oak Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 6-13 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 97-43 non-league loss to Iowa Colony (Iowa Colony, TX).
