The Phoenix Spartans basketball team (Braithwaite, LA), was toppled 60-51 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Mandeville Skippers (Mandeville, LA)

The Skippers now possess a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Archbishop Hannan for a non-league battle on Friday, December 29. Mandeville will confront a Hawks team coming off a 60-26 non-league win over Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Hawks record now stands at 13-2.

The Spartans (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Raiders come into the non-league battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, Pine was toppled by Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA), 60-26, in a non-league battle.
