With the victory, Shadow Creek improves its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Alief Hastings (Houston, TX) to play the Bears in a 6A Region III District 23 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Alief Hastings lost 91-46 in their recent league challenge against Dawson (Pearland, TX)

Next up, the Mavericks play the Clear Creek Wildcats (League City, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Manvel will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 59-56 non-league win over Friendswood (Friendswood, TX).
