The Sherwood Warriors (Sandy Spring, MD) basketball nipped the host McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD), 67-64 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Warriors (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Rockville (Rockville, MD). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 1-5 record.
The Eagles now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. Frances Academy for a MIAA A - Red test on Wednesday, January 3. McDonogh will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 64-57 non-league loss to Pine Bluff (Pine Bluff, AR). The Panthers record now stands at 11-5.
