Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the McGehee Owls (McGehee, AR) and the host Rison Wildcats (Rison, AR), saw McGehee's basketball squad wallop Rison by a tally of 71-23.

With the victory, McGehee improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Drew Central (Monticello, AR) to confront the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 28. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 7-6.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Ouachita Warriors (Donaldson, AR) in a 2A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Rison will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record.
