    • Alabama High School Basketball - Oak Mountain nips Morristown-Hamblen East

    Oak Mountain Eagles (Birmingham, AL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes (Morristown, TN), 66-59 in a non-league bout.

    With the win, Oak Mountain upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Eagles travel to Bradley Central (Cleveland, TN) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Bradley Central lost 58-55 in their recent non-league bout against Gulf Breeze (Gulf Breeze, FL)

    Next up, the Hurricanes play the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Morristown-Hamblen East will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 61-60 non-league win over Cookeville (Cookeville, TN).
