Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Union Area topped by Neshannock

December 28, 2023: New Castle, PA 16105

The Neshannock Lancers basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Union Area Scotties to 46 in the Lancers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Lancers now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beaver Falls for a WPIAL 3A 1 contest on Wednesday, January 3. Neshannock will battle a Tigers team coming off a 83-37 non-league loss to Greater Johnstown (Johnstown, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-4.

The Scotties (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA). The come into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Sewickley Academy prevailed over Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA), 59-55, in a non-league contest.
