West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD), 72-70 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Springfield upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Spartans host Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Thomas Stone lost 87-65 in their recent non-league bout against Lanham Christian (Lanham, MD)

Next up, the Eagles play the Lanham Christian Lions (Lanham, MD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. North Point will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 87-65 non-league win over Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD).
