Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Onalaska Wildcats (Onalaska, TX), 66-60 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Venus upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Westwood (Palestine, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 9-4. Westwood won 64-56 in their recent non-league bout against Da Vinci (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Da Vinci Dragons (El Paso, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Onalaska will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 51-43 non-league loss to Orangefield (Orangefield, TX).
