Texas High School Basketball - Premont topped by Raymondville

The Raymondville Bearkats basketball team scored 65 points and restricted the host Premont Cowboys to 51 in the Bearkats non-league victory on Thursday.

The Bearkats now sport a 9-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Isabel for a 4A Region IV District 32 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Raymondville will battle a Tarpons team coming off a 71-65 non-league win over Falfurrias (Falfurrias, TX). The Tarpons record now stands at 14-6.

The Cowboys (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Kaufer (Riviera, TX). The Seahawks come into the 2A Region IV District 32 contest with a 5-13 record. In their last contest, Kaufer prevailed over Odem (Odem, TX), 58-41, in a non-league contest.
