Summerville Bears (Tuolumne, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting River Islands Riptide (Lathrop, CA), 50-34 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Summerville upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Bears travel to Golden Valley (Merced, CA) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Golden Valley won 40-30 in their recent non-league bout against Los Banos (Los Banos, CA)

Next up, the Riptide clash with the Patterson Tigers (Patterson, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. River Islands will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 47-31 non-league loss to Summerville (Tuolumne, CA).
