Texas High School Basketball - Amarillo tipped by Cedar Hill

The Cedar Hill Longhorns basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Amarillo Sandies to 52 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Longhorns now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Duncanville for a 6A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Cedar Hill will meet a Panthers and Pantherettes team coming off a 62-22 non-league win over Conway (Conway, AR). The Panthers and Pantherettes record now stands at 18-3.

The Sandies (21-4) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Ridge (Mansfield, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Lake Ridge nudged Atascocita (Humble, TX), 61-26, in a non-league contest.
