In Thursday's non-league outing, the Boyd Broncos (McKinney, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Bells Panthers (Bells, TX), by a count of 44-41.
The Broncos (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Dodd City (Dodd City, TX). The Hornets go into the non-league outing with a 11-5 record. In their last outing, Dodd City was tipped by Van Alstyne (Van Alstyne, TX), 49-20, in a non-league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Howe for a 3A Region II District 11 outing on Tuesday, January 2. Bells will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 43-41 non-league loss to Tioga (Tioga, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-7.
