In Thursday's non-league outing, the Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN) basketball squad edged the host Betsy Layne Bobcats (Betsy Layne, KY), by a margin of 55-52.
The Panthers (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 5-10 record. In their last outing, Claiborne was tipped by Harlan County (Harlan, KY), 67-40, in a non-league outing.
The Bobcats now own a 8-3 record. They play next when they host Hamilton for a non-league outing on Friday, December 29. Betsy Layne will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 62-38 non-league loss to Arlington (Arlington, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-8.
