In Thursday's non-league outing, the Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA), by a count of 47-11.
The Herons (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Indians go into the AA Region 3 outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Vidalia was crushed by Telfair County (McRae, GA), 68-60, in a non-league outing.
The Buccaneers now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Emanuel County Institute for a A D2 Region 3 outing on Friday, January 5.
