Buna Cougars (Buna, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX), 34-18 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Buna upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Lee (Baytown, TX) to clash with the Ganders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Ganders go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Lee lost 50-47 in their recent league bout against Sterling (Baytown, TX)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 bout, on Friday, January 5. Coldspring-Oakhurst will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record.
