The Seguin Matadors basketball team (Seguin, TX), was nudged 32-26 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX)

The Cardinals now possess a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Moulton for a non-league battle on Friday, December 29. Columbus will confront a Bobkatz team coming off a 39-27 league win over Austwell-Tivoli (Tivoli, TX). The Bobkatz record now stands at 16-6.

The Matadors (7-17) will now prepare for their battle against Weimar (Weimar, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 9-9 record. In their last battle, Weimar was nudged by Boling (Boling, TX), 41-37, in a non-league battle.
