    The Fostoria Redmen basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains to 44 in the Redmen non-league triumph on Thursday.

    The Redmen now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbian for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 30. Fostoria will meet a Tornadoes team coming off a 39-33 non-league win over Edison (Milan, OH). The Tornadoes record now stands at 2-7.

    The Chieftains (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary Central Catholic (Sandusky, OH). The Panthers enter the Sandusky Bay - River contest with a 0-9 record.
