In Thursday's non-league outing, the Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Greenwood Rangers (Midland, TX), by a margin of 63-42.
The Westerners (4-12) will now prepare for their outing against Prestonwood Christian (Plano, TX). The Lions go into the non-league outing with a 16-2 record. In their last outing, Prestonwood Christian smashed Bishop Lynch (Dallas, TX), 45-41, in a league outing.
The Rangers now own a 4-15 record. They play next when they travel to Hutto for a non-league outing on Friday, December 29. Greenwood will encounter a Hippos squad coming off a 54-52 non-league loss to Prestonwood Christian (Plano, TX). The Hippos record now stands at 8-14.
