Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lakeview Spartans (Battle Creek, MI), 41-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Harper Creek upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Beavers travel to Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI) to clash with the Red Wolves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Red Wolves go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Paw Paw won 70-34 in their recent league bout against Niles (Niles, MI)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Edison Academy Pioneers (Detroit, MI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Lakeview will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record.
