Harrisonburg Blue Streaks (Harrisonburg, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA), 48-29 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Harrisonburg upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Blue Streaks host Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA) to play the Trailblazers in a Valley bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Trailblazers come into the bout with a record of 7-3. Spotswood lost 66-47 in their recent non-league bout against Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA)

Next up, the Lions play the Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Louisa County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 7-1 record after their 65-41 non-league win over Madison County (Madison, VA).
