Hartfield Academy Hawks (Flowood, MS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS), 47-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hartfield Academy upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Hawks travel to Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain, MS) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 15-1. Blue Mountain won 66-40 in their recent non-league bout against Yazoo City (Yazoo City, MS)

Next up, the Trojans play the Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. New Hope will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 77-34 league loss to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS).
