    • Ohio High School Basketball - Padua Franciscan knocked off by Marlington

    December 28, 2023: Alliance, OH 44601

    The Marlington Dukes basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Padua Franciscan Bruins to 53 in the Dukes non-league triumph on Thursday.

    The Dukes now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carrollton for a Eastern Buckeye contest on Wednesday, January 3. Marlington will battle a Warriors team coming off a 70-32 non-league win over Meadowbrook (Byesville, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 9-1.

    The Bruins (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against North Olmsted (North Olmsted, OH). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, North Olmsted ran past Brookside (Sheffield, OH), 73-19, in a non-league bout.
