The Myers Park Mustangs routed the host New Hanover Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 51-29 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Lucy Beckham Bengals (Mt. Pleasant, SC) in a non-league game, on Friday, December 29. Myers Park will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record. The Bengals enter the game with a 6-5 record after their 36-33 non-league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC).

With the defeat, New Hanover moves to 7-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to New Bern (New Bern, NC) to face the Bears in a non-league game on Friday, December 29. The Bears enter the game with a record of 2-9. New Bern lost 58-35 in their recent non-league game against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC)
