The Notre Dame Academy Regal Gryphons (Los Angeles, CA) basketball nipped the host University Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA), 43-38 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Regal Gryphons (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Taft (Woodland Hills, CA). The Toreadors go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Taft was tipped by St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA), 34-28, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy for a non-league test on Friday, December 29. University will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 34-28 non-league win over Taft (Woodland Hills, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-8.
