The Park Rapids Panthers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Warren-Alvarado-Oslo Ponies to 49 in the Panthers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Panthers now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for a AA Section 8 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Park Rapids will battle a Rebels team coming off a 62-36 non-league loss to Moorhead (Moorhead, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 1-6.

The Ponies (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Kittson Central/Lancaster (Hallock, MN). The Bearcats come into the A Section 8 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Kittson Central/Lancaster prevailed over Stephen-Argyle Central (Stephen, MN), 67-57, in a league contest.
