In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Preston Knights basketball team scored a good 30-14 triumph over the Brooke Bruins.

In their next game, the Knights meet the Lewis County Minutemen (Weston, WV) in a non-league match, on Thursday, January 4. Preston will attempt to better on its 7-0 season record. The Minutemen enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 56-37 league win over North Marion (Farmington, WV).

With the defeat, Brooke moves to 0-2 on the year. The Bruins travel to Oak Glen (New Cumberland, WV) to meet the Golden Bears in a non-league match on Monday, January 15. The Golden Bears enter the match with a record of 9-0.
