Pope John Paul II (Royersford, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears (Merion Station, PA), 32-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Pope John Paul II upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The travel to Upper Perkiomen (Pennsburg, PA) to clash with the Indians in a bout on Thursday, January 4. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-0.
Next up, the Golden Bears clash with the Villa Joseph Marie Jems (Holland, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Merion Mercy Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.
