Jones County Coyotes (Murdo, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Burke Cougars (Burke, SD), 26-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jones County upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Philip (Philip, SD) to clash with the Scotties in a bout on Thursday, January 4. The Scotties go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Gregory Gorillas (Gregory, SD) in a bout, on Friday, January 12. Burke will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
