Santa Paula Cardinals (Santa Paula, CA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Dos Pueblos Chargers (Goleta, CA), 54-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Santa Paula upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Cardinals host Buena (Ventura, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Buena won 56-45 in their recent non-league bout against Camarillo (Camarillo, CA)

Next up, the Chargers play the San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 5. Dos Pueblos will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
