The A&M Consolidated Tigers basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Waco Lions to 44 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now possess a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Brenham for a 5A Region III District 17 game on Friday, January 3. A&M Consolidated will confront a Cubs team coming off a 66-35 non-league loss to Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX). The Cubs record now stands at 16-7.

With the loss, Waco falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Permian (Odessa, TX) to confront the Panthers in a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. The Panthers go into the game with a record of 14-5. Permian lost 74-44 in their recent non-league game against College Park (The Woodlands, TX)
