The Alvarado Indians basketball team scored 73 points and limited the host Brownwood Lions to 53 in the Indians non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Indians now possess a 11-9 record. They play next when they host Venus for a 4A Region II District 12 game on Friday, January 3. Alvarado will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 44-35 league win over Godley (Godley, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Brownwood falls to 13-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Greenwood (Midland, TX) to play the Rangers in a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. The Rangers go into the game with a record of 8-11. Greenwood lost 53-44 in their recent non-league game against Alvarado (Alvarado, TX)
