In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Archangels Catholic Defenders basketball team scored a big 54-32 triumph over the Crofton Warriors.
The Defenders (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Point-Beemer (West Point, NE). The Cadets go into the non-league contest with a 6-2 record. In their last contest, West Point-Beemer smashed Wynot (Wynot, NE), 66-55, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the O'Neill Eagles (O'Neill, NE) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Crofton will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 3-5 record after their 63-44 non-league win over North Central (Bassett, NE).
