The Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD) basketball edged the host St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions (Potomac, MD), 50-48 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Cavaliers now possess a 11-3 record. They play next when they host Mount St. Joseph for a MIAA A - Black bout on Friday, January 3. Archbishop Spalding will play a Gaels team coming off a 73-54 non-league loss to Woodward Academy (College Park, GA). The Gaels record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, St. Andrew's Episcopal falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to St. John's (Washington, DC) to play the Cadets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 10-3. St. John's lost 57-52 in their recent non-league bout against Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA)
