The Athens Bulldogs basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Trimble Tomcats to 34 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now possess a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wellston for a Tri-Valley I game on Tuesday, January 7.
With the loss, Trimble falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The Tomcats travel to Wellston (Wellston, OH) to confront the Golden Rockets in a non-league game on Friday, January 10. The Golden Rockets go into the game with a record of 2-6.
