California High School Basketball - Camarillo bests Mercer Island

December 28, 2024: Camarillo, CA 93012

The Camarillo Scorpions basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Mercer Island Islanders to 33 in the Scorpions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Scorpions now possess a 15-1 record. They play next when they host Faith Baptist for a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. Camarillo will play a Contenders team coming off a 72-44 non-league loss to Grant (Van Nuys, CA). The Contenders record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Mercer Island falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Islanders travel to Verbum Dei Jesuit (Los Angeles, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Monday, December 30. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 6-7. Verbum Dei Jesuit won 55-47 in their recent non-league game against Taft (Woodland Hills, CA)
