California High School Basketball - Canyon Springs nudges Summit

December 28, 2024: Fontana, CA 92336

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Canyon Springs Pioneers (North Las Vegas, NV) and the host Summit SkyHawks (Fontana, CA), observed Canyon Springs's basketball team edge Summit by a score of 46-39.

The Pioneers (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Beaumont (Beaumont, CA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Beaumont edged Imperial (Imperial, CA), 52-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the SkyHawks encounter the Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 30. Summit will attempt to improve on its 10-7 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 59-44 non-league loss to Capistrano Valley (Mission Viejo, CA).
