Utah High School Basketball - Hurricane can't hold off Canyon View

December 28, 2024: Cedar City, UT 84720

Canyon View Falcons (Cedar City, UT) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Hurricane Tigers (Hurricane, UT), 59-57 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Canyon View upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Falcons travel to Emery (Castle Dale, UT) to face the Spartans in a 3A Region 12 match on Friday, January 3. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 4-7. Emery lost 71-67 in their recent non-league match against San Juan (Blanding, UT)

The Tigers now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine View for a 4A Region 9 match on Saturday, January 4.
