The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cardinal Hayes Cardinals (Bronx, NY) and the visiting South Shore Vikings (Brooklyn, NY), observed Cardinal Hayes's basketball team overcome South Shore by a margin of 60-44.

The Cardinals (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Monsignor Scanlan (Bronx, NY). The Crusaders come into the Catholic AA - New York challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Monsignor Scanlan dropped by St. Anthony's (Melville, NY), 72-59, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the St. Benedict's Prep Gray Bees (Newark, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, December 29. South Shore will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record. The Gray Bees come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 64-55 non-league loss to Paul VI (Haddonfield, NJ).
