The Newton North Tigers basketball team scored 69 points and limited the visiting Catholic Memorial Knights to 63 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Brookline for a Bay State - Carey game on Friday, January 3. Newton North will confront a Warriors team coming off a 63-57 league loss to La Salle Academy (Providence, RI). The Warriors record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Catholic Memorial falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA) to confront the Eagles in a Catholic game on Tuesday, January 7. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 1-3.
