The Central Chargers (Macon, GA) basketball edged the host Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA), 52-48 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Chargers now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Jefferson County for a A D1 Region 2 bout on Friday, January 3. Central will play a Warriors team coming off a 40-37 non-league loss to Jenkins County (Millen, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-8.
With the loss, Mitchell County falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Miller County (Colquitt, GA) to play the Pirates in a A D2 Region 1 bout on Friday, January 3. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Miller County lost 49-46 in their recent non-league bout against Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA)
