In Saturday's non-league test, the Model Blue Devils (Rome, GA) basketball squad got by the visiting Central Lions (Carrollton, GA), by a final score of 56-50.

Next, the Blue Devils clash with the Trion Bulldogs (Trion, GA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 4. Model will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record.

The Lions (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Starr's Mill (Fayetteville, GA). The Panthers come into the AAAA Region 3 test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Starr's Mill was nipped by Duluth (Duluth, GA), 57-45, in a non-league test.
