With the victory, University Lab advances its record to 7-5 on the year. The Cubs travel to Catholic (Baton Rouge, LA) to face the Bears in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7. The Bears enter the match with a record of 16-1.

The Lions now own a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Salmen for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Covington will face a Spartans squad coming off a 44-27 non-league loss to Hammond (Hammond, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 7-9.
