Texas High School Basketball - Cross Roads holds off Neches

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Cross Roads Bobcats basketball team scored a close 40-39 triumph over the Neches Tigers.

The Bobcats (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cayuga (Cayuga, TX). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region III District 19 contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Cayuga nipped Apple Springs (Apple Springs, TX), 54-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Campbell Indians (Campbell, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Neches will attempt to better on its 9-10 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 1-14 record after their 61-25 non-league loss to Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX).
