The Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX) basketball edged the host Klein Forest Eagles (Houston, TX), 59-53 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Klein for a non-league bout on Saturday, December 28. Cypress Lakes will play a Bearkats team coming off a 69-46 non-league win over Waller (Waller, TX). The Bearkats record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, Klein Forest falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Klein Collins (Spring, TX) to play the Tigers in a 6A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, December 31. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Klein Collins won 59-42 in their recent league bout against Klein Cain (Houston, TX)
