North Carolina High School Basketball - Olympic toppled by Davie

December 28, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28273

Davie War Eagles (Mocksville, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC), 50-38 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Davie advances its record to 8-2 on the year. The War Eagles host Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Monday, December 30. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 8-3. Western Guilford won 39-36 in their recent non-league match against Seaforth (Pittsboro, NC)

The Trojans now own a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ballantyne Ridge for a 4A South Meck match on Friday, January 3. Olympic will face a Wolves squad coming off a 72-51 non-league loss to Christ the King (Huntersville, NC). The Wolves record now stands at 2-9.
