The Lamar Texans basketball team scored 28 points and limited the host Dobie Longhorns to 26 in the Texans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Texans now possess a 9-11 record. They play next when they host Bellaire for a 6A Region III District 18 game on Tuesday, January 7.

With the loss, Dobie falls to 4-19 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Huntsville (Huntsville, TX) to play the Hornets in a non-league game on Saturday, December 28. The Hornets go into the game with a record of 10-4. Huntsville lost 58-56 in their recent non-league game against Conroe (Conroe, TX)
