The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Theodore Bobcats (Theodore, AL) and the visiting Douglas County Tigers (Douglasville, GA), observed Theodore's basketball team knock off Douglas County by a score of 63-52.

The Bobcats (8-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Murphy (Mobile, AL). The Panthers come into the 6A Area 1 challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Murphy was knocked off by Minor (Adamsville, AL), 46-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the East Coweta Indians (Sharpsburg, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Douglas County will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 52-40 non-league win over East St. Louis (East St. Louis, IL).
